Winterfest [RAFT] 2024
Posted by Alesia Gitter on
I find a lot of events to sell at through Facebook groups. I am in several local groups based on the cities surrounding me, and in the city I do reside in. There was a local elementary school that was hosting a one day winter event that was looking for a few more vendors. I wasn't accepted into any events in December, so I messaged them for information. This was posted in early November and they quickly emailed me with the information which included setup, internet information, a warning that hey other vendors may be selling similar items to you and...
Introduction to Plush Manufacturing
Posted by Alesia Gitter on
I've always wanted to make plush since it's something I also love to buy. Honestly, the internet has made so much super accessible, especially to someone like myself who doesn't know how to sew. I could learn but I also know my time is valuable and that's where many of us turn to manufacturing. Since I've been getting a lot of questions lately about plush and my manufacturers, it was recommended I just write a guide.Rules & Regulations of PlushBefore you start diving directly into anything, you need to understand the rules and regulations surrounding plush for where you reside....
Grand Rapids Comic Con 2024

I applied to this event in January 2024 and approved fairly quickly. I asked later in January if I could split my booth with another vendor and I could, so Lizbie became my booth partner which was really exciting!I reserved the hotel the same month and basically forgot about everything until October when we started getting emails about load-in for the event. I would like to note that the vendor booths are 10x10, they come with 8 foot tables, 2 chairs and 2 badges. Extra badges at this time were $60 each and we both had to get an extra badge...
Twin Cities Con 2024

Twin Cities Con is a first come first serve event from what I was told. I managed to snag a table January 1st. In October we got information for load in. Since I had already attended MadEx by the same parent company, I had a pretty good idea of what it would be like. What is interesting is that the map made me think a lot more about how Galaxycon organizes things in the end. They were using different halls than what I had experienced at this convention center previously. I had been in Hall A for GeekCraft, they were using...
Anime Fusion 2024
Posted by Alesia Gitter on
I applied for Anime Fusion in March and I was accepted in June. Dealers room has a contract and I don't remember much about it at this point. I did also sponsor this event for $250. They advertised my business on their socials before the event.I received my load in information from them on October 11th. My kid still has swim stuff so the load-in hours only being from 2pm to 9pm are fairly restrictive. I'll bring it up at later, but I definitely like it when load in hours have more flexibility on the day before the event.Thankfully Friday hours...
