I find a lot of events to sell at through Facebook groups. I am in several local groups based on the cities surrounding me, and in the city I do reside in. There was a local elementary school that was hosting a one day winter event that was looking for a few more vendors. I randomly signed up for this event even though I already had a lot going on but I hadn't done a craft fair in awhile so I was wanting to get to some other local events in cities I didn't normally get to. My sister in law lives in Monticello so it was a no brainer to go sell there.I really want Derek to do events one day so I asked him to come with and he agreed! So this was an event I signed up for pretty last minute. I am in the Facebook group for the Gigi-ology Events and had seen all the advertising that was being done locally and felt it was probably worth trying since they had some space. I will also note that when I was driving back from my event in St Cloud on the February 10th, I saw the advertisement on the big screen! They really put a lot of work into this from a planning perspective so I definitely had some hope.Having done the event now, I am still undecided...

Do not offer to host Super Bowl Sunday the day after a show. I'm so tired from cleaning all week then waking up at 6am this morning to make sure all the pets were handled, everyone was fed and then out the door to the event.So originally I hadn't intended on registering for this event because I do believe the LGBTQ+ community should be the ones selling in their spaces but they did have open spaces still so I did eventually take one. This event was new for them. They were trying to get something going for the local community to be more involved and I think it was really fun and nicely organized. The communication was limited but precise. There were a small number of booths available to begin with, tables and chairs were provided and they had a lot of things going on for people to do.
