First event of 2024 - Events by Brandon & Laura Anoka Market

Posted by Alesia Gitter on

So I found this event in a local Facebook group for Minnesota and decided since it was only $25 for a table, it was probably worth a shot. Anoka is very close to where I live so it wasn't a big deal to drive out there and set up even if it turned out to be terrible. Before the Event & SetupFacebook and email communication leading up to the event was good. I made a little advertisement for myself since they didn't have much of anything that I saw to advertise. Probably should have been an indicator about how active the...

Krakenhits December Monthly TCG Show 2023

Posted by Alesia Gitter on

I am going to have products set up in Krakenhits anyways, but I wanted to attend the show and see how it went since I wasn't even aware they had a monthly event. With it falling on a Sunday, it's actually perfect! Sundays tend to be pretty slow in general so it gave me something to do.Before the Event & SetupI left way too early but decided to go shopping instead. Winter Solstice 2023

Posted by Alesia Gitter on

This event was new for them. They were trying to get something going for the local community to be more involved and I think it was really fun and nicely organized. The communication was limited but precise. There were a small number of booths available to begin with, tables and chairs were provided and they had a lot of things going on for people to do. It was even warm, so the petting zoo and s'mores were great for everyone! It took place at the Creekview Recreation Center in Minneapolis. Before the Event & SetupI left kind of late to arrive to this...

Powerful Zen Massage & Blue Ribbon Events Craft Fair & Food Truck Event 2023

Posted by Alesia Gitter on

This event was clearly another craft fair event but when I signed up initially, it wasn't clear how good or bad craft fairs would be for me. I have since learned that pins sell everywhere at least but craft fairs are a difficult crowd for me to please. Two things that made this event appealing to me were the free Santa pics that drew people with children in and the hockey game that was happening the same weekend. It meant that if anything, there would be foot traffic of some sort. Before the Event & SetupWe left sort of late for...

Granite City Bizarre Bazaar Winter Market 2023

Posted by Alesia Gitter on

Twin Cities Geeks discord was talking about how great Granite City events were so I went ahead and registered for this event. It was affordable but an hour away from me in St. Cloud. Worth the drive? Definitely! We'd actually been to the location previously when my daughter was on the YMCA swim team. Communication was through email or the Facebook group. Honestly, I didn't have to ask much as they even emailed us to remind that we needed the ST-19 to be turned in as well as told us what the tax rates were for the area! Made it very,...
